Rural Development and Management
With a population of about one hundred and forty crores, our Country is mostly Rural. No matter how many multi-national companies build cities in the name of Globalization, the country will move forward only if the Villages develop. Experimental approaches need to be implemented effectively to bring about a change in the way of life of the people there. They need to be motivated from time to time. Technology should be introduced to the villagers. The schemes undertaken by the Government should be properly implemented. All of this requires competent professionals to make it happen. The Rural Development and Rural Management courses were born for this purpose.
Basic Resources and Technology are needed for any place for its development. As most of India is in Rural areas, the scope to excel in this field is vast because most of the rural areas even lack basic Resources. There comes the need of Rural Development and Management Programs. It is a program that teaches us how to develop and manage the Standard of living of rural people, which includes Social, Economic, Political Development of the people living in real- life scenarios in Rural regions. As more than 60% population in India lives in Rural places where many of the resources are not available, the need for Rural development professionals is more. One can share their Innovative ideas regarding Developmental schemes and projects with the Government and other Organizations.
During the course period, students are supposed to visit Rural areas, interact with them and understand their lives, knowing about their Educational needs, as this is an Experimental Learning field. Students will also learn some sub-topics like Social Management, Rural Project Management, Co-operative Management, Development Management, etc,. An aspirant will learn how to Plan, Organize, and Manage co-operatives in the Farming sector. If someone is very interested in changing the lives of Rural areas, this is the best opportunity for them to do so. Eligibility:
Courses are available at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral levels for those who want to Study Rural Management.
✦ One who want to do Rural Management in under graduation level should clear class 10+ 2 with aggregate of minimum 50% marks from recognised board. The duration of course is 3 years.
✦ For post- graduation he/ she have their Graduation certificate in any stream with 50% marks. The duration of course is 2 years.
✦ After completion of the post- graduation they go for their Doctoral course in Rural Management/ Development. The duration of course is 3- 5 years.
✦ There is a Diploma course in Rural Management for a period of 6 months/ 1 year.
