MBBS:
❖ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is the acronym for MBBS. Those who have done this degree are recognized as doctors. The duration of this course is four and a half years and every student must do an internship for one year. Those who have studied BiPC in Intermediate are eligible for this course. Demand for this course has grown significantly as a result of the development of science and technology. Those who have done this course can start their own practice or start a career as doctors in Hospitals.
BDS:
❖ Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) is the second option for science students. Those who do not secure an MBBS seat or the students who are interested in pursuing a career in Dental Science can apply for BDS course. Course duration is 5 years (one year internship is mandatory). BDS course specializes in Orthodontics, Dento-facial orthopedics, Dental public health, Endodontics, Orthopedics, and Periodontics. There is an option to study MDS course also.
BVSC and AH:
❖ Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry is the full form of BVSC and AH. The duration of this course is 5 years. Veterinary education in India is overseen by the Veterinary Council of India. Those who have done this course are more likely to get government job opportunities. If you want to go for higher studies, you can do MVSC (Master in Veterinary Science) course.
BHMS:
❖ Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery is the full version of BHMS. Course duration 5 years. (Including a one- year internship after the final degree). The pioneer of this course was Christian Samuel Hahnemann of Germany. Recently the popularity of homeopathic medicine has increased a lot. A large percentage of people are turning to homeopathy because of its ease of use and the possibility of preventing the source of the disease by simply using medicine without resorting to things like operations. This subject was introduced as a curriculum in Medical education in America in the early 19th century. The first Homeopathic Institute was established in 1881 in Kolkata, India.
❖ Degree and PG courses approved by the Central Council of Homeopathy are required to pursue higher studies in this field. The PG Course (M.D. Homeopathy) duration is three years.

Naturopathy (BNYS):
Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science is the full form of BNYS. The duration of this course, popularly known as Naturopathy, is 5 years (including one year internship). Naturopathy is a method of treatment based on herbs and other resources. In this course you will learn about the various herbs available in nature, their benefits and more. Through this course you will learn how to prevent the disease without having to work with a naturopathic practitioner surgery. You can learn what fruits can be eaten to reduce any diseases, what are the procedures to be followed in naturopathy etc. Students also learn about regular steam baths, drinking fruit juices and more healthy practices.

Pharmacy courses
The following courses are available for those who wish to enter the field of pharmacy.
1) Diploma in Pharmacy (Must have passed Inter with BiPC subjects).
2) B.Pharmacy (Inter pass with BiPC/ MPC subjects).
3) Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharma- D) (Inter pass with BiPC/ MPC subjects).
4) 3 years post bachelor pharma- D course after B pharmacy. This is equivalent to M. pharmacy).
Pharma- D (Doctor of Pharmacy)
The Pharmacy Council of India has introduced Pharma- D course in 2008. The course duration is 6 years. Three years of study must be completed in college and the next two years should be an internship in the pharmaceutical industry. In the final year, there will be research programs. The course is available in over 25 colleges across the country. The course was initially introduced in 15 colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Only 30 seats were allotted to each college. Of these, 50 percent seats are reserved for MPC For students and another 50 percent of the seats will be reserved for BiPC students. Admissions are available through EAMCET exam. This course has a bright future in today's world where corporate companies are entering the field of pharmacy.
B-Pharmacy (Bachelor of Pharmacy)
It is a government rule to have a B Pharmacy or Pharmacy-D course certificate to those who want to run a medical shop. It has been implementing strictly these days because there lies a risk that those who do not have the appropriate qualifications will be given something other than the medication prescribed by the doctor if they work in a medical shop. That is why this course is conducted in accordance with the regulations. Medical shops should ensure that only those who have done a B-Pharmacy course should work in medical stores. Those who do this course are called pharmacists. B.Pharmacy is not only for dispensing medicines, but also for providing the required expertise in the pharmaceutical industry. The course duration is four years.
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. The duration of this course is 5 years. Ayurveda is not what it is today. It has a history of thousands of years. India in particular is the home of Ayurvedic medical education. Ayurveda is a form of medicine in which medicinal plants can cure a disease. You can practice on your own by doing these courses or you can start a career as an Ayurvedic doctor. MD Ayurveda course is also available for higher education.
