Demand for Marine engineers has been increasing day by day throughout the world and they have better career opportunities with a good starting salary. It is a wonderful opportunity for candidates who love working on the seas and oceans.
An Outline:
Marine engineering is a sub- stream of engineering which works on the operation and construction of machine equipment for sea- related operations, dock, harbour installations, seacraft etc,. The complete maintenance of boats, submarines, ships' internal systems and all maritime transport is accountable to a marine engineer. Students will adopt navigation skills and technical skills while pursuing this course. The point needs to be remembered that the role of the Marine engineer will constantly change with the new challenging aspects. They will be taught some interesting topics like waves, amplitude oscillations, flow theories etc,. and the training will be provided systematically. Students will gain knowledge on how to control engines, hydraulic turbines, ship design, naval architecture etc,. After completion of the course, candidates can apply for navy jobs, shipbuilding companies, research and development centres, harbours and ports etc,. Shipping Industries recruit a large number of employees in their firms locally and globally. So, one who completes this course can get better job opportunities to work in India and abroad as well.
