Home Science
Home science is a branch of Science that deals with Nutrition, Hygiene, Health, Fashion designing, Education and changes of each aspect in our daily life. This field is a combination of Hygiene, Nutrition, Arts, Childcare, Human development etc,. This course is very useful for girls and ladies in many aspects. This study involves the themes like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Rural development, Family relations, Food, Home management, Hygienic living etc,. Home science is all about learning and implementing scientific knowledge in our everyday life. While pursuing the course, students will get practical and theoretical knowledge experience on every subject like preparation of healthy food, stitching clothes, designing etc,. and they will be sent to the internships in various companies.
Candidates who complete certificate/ diploma courses can work in many companies as assistant Dieticians, Caretakers, Educators and some other positions with good salaries. People who have done Graduation or Post-graduation in this field can start their own beauty parlour, Hotel, Fashion designing centre, Boutique, Nutrition clinic etc,.

Eligibility criteria & Admission:
✧ For Diploma/ PG Diploma/ Bachelor's degree, student should have done 10+2/ Intermediate in any stream with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from any recognized board. Some institutions may conduct entrance test for the admission.
✧ For Master's degree, student should have done Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with minimum of 50% marks from any recognized organization. Candidate need to qualify State/ University entrance examination to get an admission in the universities and top colleges.
