Transportation Engineering

A career in transportation engineering in India involves designing, planning, and managing transportation systems that ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable movement of people and goods. To pursue a career in transport engineering, you need a Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering or a related field. A Master's degree in Transportation engineering can have another specialization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with knowledge of traffic modeling and simulation software, and familiarity with transportation regulations and standards are important for success in this field.

What is Transportation Engineering? Transportation Engineering was a sub-discipline of Civil engineering. Transportation Engineering mainly involved applications in planning and construction of roadways, bridges, ports and railways. These are pursuing their transportation engineering degree, called Transportation Engineers. They are professionals who design these systems. If you are an expert in this field, you will get tremendous opportunities over the coming years.
