Eligibility criteria: 

UG: A Candidate needs to pass 10+2 with the science stream especially, Biology as a main subject from a recognized board/ university. Aggregation of scoring marks varies from institute to institute. This course duration is 3 - 4 years.

PG: He/ she needs to complete the Bachelor's degree in Fisheries Science or Aquaculture, then appear for entrance examinations as per admission required institutions. The entrance scorecard is required for further admission purposes. This course duration is 2 years. 

Ph.D. in Fisheries Science: For individuals who are interested in research and academic career, shall be pursuing a Ph.D. in Fisheries science or a related field. This course duration is 3 years.

Entrance exams: JEE Advanced, IPUCET, NEST, etc,.

Pisciculture fee: The average fee INR. 40,000 per year (B.F.Sc.).

How to get into that career? A candidate needs to pass 10+2 with science as mainstream. than after you pursue Bachelors of Fishery Science (B.F.Sc). Further, you can proceed with a Masters in Fishery Science (M.F.Sc) or PGDiploma in Fishery Science. Later on Ph.D.. or You can also pursue after 10+2, then Complete the B.Sc (Hons) in Aquaculture or B.Sc in Life Science. Further you can proceed with MBA and later on Ph.D.. you are gone with a practical training at field level.
