Many questions arise as to whether to pursue a Degree after Intermediate. What are the courses available for the students who completed MPC, BiPC, CEC, HEC, etc,. courses? What kind of jobs do they get? Is it better to take traditional subject combinations or want to do other special courses? Do they fall behind other students if they take ordinary degree subjects? are some of the questions that arise related to the degree courses. It is good to think about the future, but unnecessary worry about it should be abandoned. There is no such thing as a useless course. The government is handling them because these courses have their uses. That is why the decision has to be made in accordance with the Interest, Passion and Future goals. Only then will all questions be answered correctly.

B.A(Bachelor of Arts) is the degree that a large number of students in the country are studying. In Telugu states, there are more Science candidates than Arts. On the whole, there are more people pursuing Traditional degrees compared to Professional courses. These degree courses have also been offered on university campuses for a number of years. The number of courses is also increasing in the Traditional Degree courses. The advantage is that the courses are completed in a shorter period of time, at a lower cost, and many colleges are providing these courses. Now students are learning towards choosing courses that are useful for competitive exams and higher education.

Anyone from any group can join the BA after Intermediate. Those who have studied Commerce and Maths subjects will have the opportunity to enter B.Com course. For B.Sc course, Science and Maths students are eligible. Almost all Degree colleges offer B.A, B.Com and B.Sc courses. Popular subject combinations are available everywhere. Many new subjects have been added to the degree in the light of current requirements. Some colleges offer training in degrees as well as other certifications and courses. Coaching for UPSC examinations is also available in some Institutions.

B.A Specialization for Competitive Exams:

Subject combinations in History, Economics, Political Science are available to all. It is an irreplaceable combination for those who have competitive exam objectives like Civils‌, Group‌-1, 2 etc,. and those who are looking to choose a Teaching career in the future‌. Tourism, Psychology, Social Work, International Relations, Journalism and Mass Communication, Sociology, Public Administration, Anthropology, Geography, Philosophy, Women's Studies and Management, Population Studies, Humanities, etc,. subject combinations are also available. There are 64 Group subject combinations available at Osmania University alone.

B.Sc- Many Opportunities:

Popular combinations in this group are Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Maths, Statistics and Economics combination is another good option for students who have studied Maths in Intermediate. Those who Master these three subjects may have many opportunities in the future. Math students can choose many courses such as Computer Science, Electronics, Aeronautical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Geology and many more. Botany, Zoology and Chemistry have been popular in the Bi.PC stream since the beginning. BiPC students can choose subjects like Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Forestry, Genetics, Seed Technology, Computer Applications, etc,. In Osmania University, there are about 60 group combinations with different subjects related to MPC and BiPC streams.

B.Com… A path way to Professional courses…

Subject combinations are less in B.Com compared to B.A and B.Sc, but job opportunities are high. This course is designed to focus on the subject of Commerce. B.Com offers a variety of combinations (Regular/ Honors/ Taxation/ Computers/ E-commerce/ International, Business/ Accounting and Finance/ Advertising and Sales Management/ Foreign, Trade/ Banking, Financial Services and Insurance and more. Some Private Educational Institutes offer courses with B.Com General and Honors as well as Internationally recognized course combinations like B.Com Honors‌ + ACCA, B.Com Honors‌ + CIMA. One should complete 13 papers in the B.Com Honors + Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) examination. B.Com Honors‌ students are exempted from completing 6 of these papers. B.Com Honors + ACCA Course is available at KLU and Geetham Universities. You can complete the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) course along with B.Com Honors. B.Com students can join Professional courses such as CA while continuing their studies.

How to choose the correct Combination?

✶ Those who want to join the Degree course, have to choose future goals and group combinations of subjects according to their interests. In order to do various PG courses, one should have to study the relevant subject in UG. The corresponding subject should be selected in UG. The course duration is 3 Years. Some companies also offer Bachelor's degrees in Honors. It is possible to gain additional Proficiency in a selected subject at these types of Degrees. At least one paper more has to be written. Honors courses may be preferred by those with special interest in any subject and aspiring for Higher education in that subject. Admissions to Degree colleges are based on merit of Intermediate marks.

✶ The duration of B.A, B.Com and B.Sc courses is 3 Years. Examinations are conducted once every 6 months on a semester basis. All the Universities in the Telugu states follow the Choice Based Credit System(CBCS). The Syllabus and Procedures of degree colleges across the states are almost the same. Mid- semester Examinations are held in the middle of the semester. Each semester has subject- wise credits. Admissions in both States are conducted Online. Admission to over 200 undergraduate courses in 1000 colleges in 6 universities in the state of Telangana is available through Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST).

✶ In Andhra Pradesh, it is possible to enroll in Degree courses through the AP Student Academic Management System(AP Shams). Details of Colleges, Courses, Seats and Fees can be obtained from the respective Websites. Seats will be allocated on the basis of Merit of Intermediate marks and Reservations. Those enrolled in degree courses may choose different paths in the future depending on Personal Interests. Students who want to pursue Higher Education by joining MBA, MCA, B.Ed, Law, etc,. Courses in addition to the degree courses can choose the courses in accordance with their future intentions. Those who come to a decision in advance with a proper understanding of the information available can reach the desired goal in the Future.
