The Indian Navy has released a notification inviting online applications from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates for enrolment as Agniveer (MR Musician).

Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from recognized boards. Applicants must be unmarried and remain so for the duration of the four-year tenure. Crucially, candidates must possess high musical proficiency, including accuracy in tempo and pitch, and the ability to perform on instruments like Keyboards, String, or Wind instruments. Specific musical experience certificates or awards are required depending on the musical genre (Classical vs. Western)
Age Range:
Candidates should be born between 01 September 2004 and 29 February 2008 (both dates inclusive)
Salary Range:
1st Year: Rs.30,000 per month
4th Year: Rs.30000 per month
Plus allowances and risk/hardship benefits.
Seva Nidhi package: Rs.5.02 lakh (contributory).
Life Insurance: Rs.48 lakh cover.
Selection Procedure:
Shortlisting based on Matriculation marks and valid music certificates, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) - including running, squats, push-ups, and sit-ups, Music Ability Test.
Recruitment Medical Examination.
Final merit list prepared based on Music Ability Test performance, Pre-enrolment medical check at INS Chilka, Odisha.
