The Sports Authority of India (SAI), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, has released a notification for the direct recruitment of Assistant Coaches on a regular basis.

Disciplines: Athletics, Shooting, Swimming, Wrestling, Boxing, Badminton, Table Tennis, Hockey, Archery, Cycling, Gymnastics, Basketball, Football, Rowing, Taekwondo, Tennis, Wushu, Kabaddi, and others.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a Diploma or equivalent in coaching from SAI NS-NIS, Patiala, or any recognized Indian/Foreign University. Alternatively, candidates who have participated in Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, or World Championships with a Certificate Course in Coaching are eligible. Dronacharya Awardees also meet the professional qualification criteria.
Age Limit: Must not exceed 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates (5 years), OBC candidates (3 years), and SAI employees/Ex-servicemen candidates.
Salary: Rs. 35,400 - Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
Selection Procedure:
The selection consists of a two-stage process:
Computer Based Test (CBT): A 100-mark MCQ exam (40% weightage) covering sports-specific knowledge, sports science, and general aptitude.
Coaching Ability Test (CAT): A practical assessment (60% weightage) for candidates shortlisted from the CBT in a 1:3 ratio.
Application Fee: Rs. 2,500 for UR, EWS, and OBC candidates; Rs. 2,000 for SC/ST and female candidates.
Examination Centers: Delhi, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Imphal.
