Qualifications:
Commander (D&D) Services: Must possess a Master (Foreign Going) Certificate, a Service Certificate from the Indian Navy, or a Dredge Master Gr-I Certificate. 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a sea-going vessel/dredger is required.
Commander (Pilot Vessel): Must possess a Master (FG)/Dredge Master Gr. I/First Mate (FG) Certificate, or other relevant certificates/degrees. 10 years of experience in pilotage at a riverine port is required.
Deputy Harbour Master (Port): Must possess a Master (FG) or Dredge Master Gr. I Certificate. 7 years of experience in pilotage at a riverine port is required. Age Limit: As of May 1, 2026, the maximum age must not exceed 42 to 43 years. An age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC/ST candidates, and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Salary: Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 2,60,000 per month.
Selection Process: Based on an interview.
