Telangana State Eligibility Test 2026
Osmania University, on behalf of the Telangana State Government, is conducting TG SET 2026 to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Lecturer positions in Telangana Universities and Colleges.

Subjects: Geography, Chemical Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science & Applications, Economics, Education, English, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Journalism and Mass Communications, Management, Hindi, History, Law, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Physical Education, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Telugu, Urdu, Library and Information Science, Sanskrit, Social Work, Environmental Science, Linguistics.
Eligibility: General/Unreserved/EWS candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in a Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification. BC, SC, ST and PwD candidates must have secured at least 50% marks. Candidates pursuing their Master’s Degree or awaiting their final-year results may also apply provisionally, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
Application Process: Candidates must apply online only through the official TG SET website. Only one application can be submitted by each candidate. Applicants should upload the required scanned photograph, signature and certificates, complete the application form and pay the examination fee through UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for TG-SET.
Application Fee: Rs.2,000 for General candidates; Rs.1,500 for BC/EWS candidates; and Rs.1,000 for SC/ST/Differently-abled/Transgender candidates.
Examination Pattern: The test consists of two papers conducted in one session for a total duration of three hours:
Paper I: 50 compulsory objective questions - 100 marks
Paper II: 100 compulsory objective questions - 200 marks
Total: 150 questions - 300 marks
Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT).
To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 40% aggregate marks across both papers for the General category, and 35% for reserved categories.
Exam centers: Adilabad, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Warangal, Khammam, Ranga Reddy.
