Oceanography
Oceans are formed about 150 billion years ago in the process of evolution of the Earth. One- third of the land area is covered by water (Oceans, Seas, Rivers, Tanks, Canals, etc,.). Oceans are rich in Minerals. These are responsible for climate change. The role of Oceans is also crucial in the development of the country. The Seashore is a source of livelihood for millions. Oceanography is the study of the existence of Cceans, Physical and Chemical changes, Marine life, and Mineral life that have had an impact on human life from its inception to the present day. It covers various topics such as Thermodynamics, Ecosystem, Ocean waves, Plate tectonics, etc,. Oceanography branches includes Bio- chemical oceanography, Geological oceanography, Physical and Chemical properties of ocean.
Oceanography is a challenging field where you have to face a variety of situations every day and you'll get an opportunity to learn scientific discipline lifelong. It is a mixture of scientific research and advanced technologies in engineering field. The work is about Sea environment, Climate changes, Conducting surveys, how things affect sea shores. Choosing oceanography as a career can get a lot of job opportunities. To pursue Oceanography, candidates need to take Entrance test and Personal interview. Admissions to some colleges are based on merit in previous examinations. Some institutes conduct their own entrance tests.
