National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies
University Grants Commission (UGC) offers the National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies to Indian students pursuing their first postgraduate degree in India. The scheme provides Rs.15,000 per month for 10 months each year, for a maximum of two years, to 10,000 students. Reservation is as per Government of India policy, with 30% of slots reserved for women candidates. Priority is given to single/twin/fraternal girl children.

Details:
Type: Merit-based National Scholarship Scheme (UGC)
Qualification: Must be admitted to the first year of a regular/full-time PG degree programme at a recognized University/College/Institution.
Should hold a recognized undergraduate degree from a UGC-recognized institution.
Students in distance/part-time/private mode are not eligible.
Age: Below 30 years as on the date of admission to the first year of PG programme.
Required Information/Documents: Aadhaar card (linked to bank account), KYC-compliant bank account details, Educational certificates (UG degree), Caste/Category certificate (if applicable), Institution verification certificate.
