National Scholarship for Higher Education of Scheduled Tribe Students
The Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, offers the National Scholarship Scheme under the Central Sector Scheme to encourage meritorious Scheduled Tribe (ST) students to pursue graduate and post-graduate studies in premier institutes across India. This fully funded scheme covers tuition fees, stipends, and additional allowances to support higher education in professional fields such as Management, Medicine, Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Law, and Social Sciences.

Eligibility:
Must belong to a Scheduled Tribe (ST). Secured admission in courses approved by the Ministry in notified premier institutes (list includes IITs, NITs, IIMs, AIIMS, NIFT, NID, NLUs, etc.).
Total annual family income from all sources must not exceed Rs.6.00 lakh.
Should not be availing benefits from any other central/state government scholarship for the same course.
Required Information/Documents:
ST/PVTG Certificate issued by competent authority, Income Certificate (preceding financial year), Admission/fee receipt, Bank passbook (Aadhaar-linked), Academic qualification certificates/marksheets, Bona fide certificate from the institute.
How to Apply: Eligible students must apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at www.scholarships.gov.in after securing admission in a notified institution. Applicants should register, fill in the application, and upload all required documents. Applications must be verified by the institute and the Ministry before selection. Incomplete or late submissions will be rejected.
