The Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education has issued a notification inviting online applications for the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET - In-Service Teachers - 2026). The Supreme Court delivered a verdict last year mandating that in-service teachers must pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). All teachers appointed prior to 2011 who are currently in service are required to qualify in this mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test.

Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET - In-Service Teachers - 2026)

Eligibility: This examination applies only to in-service teachers working in government schools, local body schools, APREIS/government welfare society residential schools, AP Model Schools, and private aided schools or other government departments in Andhra Pradesh.

Application Process: Applications must be submitted online.

Qualifying Marks: General/EWS: 60%; BC: 50%; SC/ST/Differently-abled: 40%.

Hall ticket download: From 05-10-2026

Declaration of results: 15-11-2026

Exam fee: Rs. 1,000 per paper.
