The Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) is conducted to provide admissions to M.Sc., M.Sc.(Tech.), MS (Research), M.Sc.- M.Tech. Dual Degree, M.Sc.- Ph.D. Dual Degree, at the 23 IITs for taking up science as a career option for the students for the academic year 2027-28.

Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM-2027)

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed a degree in relevant disciplines, as well as those currently in their final year of study, are eligible to apply.

Seat Details: Approximately 3,000 seats are available in total.

Subjects: The entrance exam is being conducted in seven subjects. These subjects are: Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics.

Application Fee: For women, SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates, the fee is Rs.1,000 for one paper and Rs.1,350 for two papers. For all other candidates, the fee is Rs.2,000 for one paper and Rs.2,700 for two papers.
