The initiative aims to provide financial support to meritorious students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) to enable them to pursue higher education, professional courses, and vocational training across India.

Titles and Type of Scholarship the scheme offers two main categories of scholarships: General Scholarship [After Class 12th/Diploma]: For students enrolling in first-year undergraduate studies in Medicine, Engineering, Graduation (any stream), Integrated courses, or Vocational/ITI courses. Special Scholarship [After Class 10th]: For students pursuing higher studies in Intermediate (10+2 pattern), Vocational/Diploma courses, or ITI programs.
Eligibility: To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 10th or Class 12th (or equivalent) in the academic years 2023-24, 2024-25, or 2025-26 with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Applicants must have taken admission in the academic year 2026-27 for eligible regular/full-time programs in government-recognized institutions. Additionally, the candidate's parent/guardian's total annual income from all sources must not exceed Rs.4,50,000.
Age Range:
The official notification does not specify a strict age limit range; however, eligibility is bound by completion of Class 10th/12th in recent academic years (2023–26) and fresh admission in 2026–27.

Academic marksheets (Class 10th or 12th/Diploma).
Income Certificate issued by a competent Revenue Authority (e.g., Tehsildar, DM, Revenue Circle Officer).
Active Bank Account details (including Account Number, beneficiary name, and valid IFSC code with a cancelled cheque).
School/College exit certificates (LC/TC/Migration) if changing institutions during the scholarship duration.
Identity proof details including PAN and Aadhaar number authorization.
Valid personal email address and mobile contact number.

Applicants need to fill in their details correctly, as applications are automatically routed to the respective LIC Division based on the applicant's PIN code. Upon successful submission, an acknowledgement email will be sent to the provided email address for future correspondence.
