AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2026

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is implementing the Swanath Scholarship Scheme 2025 to support orphaned students, children who lost their parents due to COVID-19, wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces personnel martyred in action, and students whose parents suffer from life-threatening diseases or have died/become severely disabled in accidents.

AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2026 

Number of Scholarships:

Total Scholarships: 2,000

Degree Students: 1,000

Diploma Students: 1,000

Scholarship Amount: Rs.50,000 per year

Available for the entire duration of the course:

Up to 4 years for Degree students

Up to 3 years for Diploma students

The amount can be used for tuition fees, books, computer purchase, stationery, software, and other educational expenses.

Eligibility:

Applicants must belong to any one of the following categories:

Orphan students, Students whose one or both parents died due to COVID-19, Wards of Armed Forces or Central Paramilitary Forces personnel martyred in action Students whose parent is suffering from a critical life-threatening disease (such as cancer) or has died/become more than 80% disabled in an accident

Additionally:

Annual family income from all sources should not exceed Rs.8 lakh Students must be studying in an AICTE-approved Degree or Diploma course in regular mode Applicants should not be receiving any other Central Government, State Government, or AICTE-sponsored scholarship.

Selection Process: 

For Degree Students:

Selection is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent examination.

For Diploma Students:

Selection is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the 10th Class or equivalent examination.

How to Apply: Applications must be submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

The student's institution will verify the application.

The concerned State/UT Education Department will conduct the second level of verification.

Required Documents: 

Depending on the applicant category, the following documents may be required:

Death certificate(s) of parent(s)

Income certificate

Bonafide certificate from the institution

10th and 10+2 mark sheets

Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL), if applicable

Relevant supporting certificates for special categories.

Renewal Conditions:

Renewal applications must be submitted through NSP every year.

Students must be promoted to the next academic year.

Failure to apply for renewal on time may result in cancellation of the scholarship
