Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad, has released a notification for admission into the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. - Open and Distance Learning) course for the 2026-27 academic year.

Bachelor of Education (ODL) (B.Ed. - Open and Distance Learning)

Total Seats: 500

Medium of Instruction: Telugu

Course Duration: 2 years (can be completed within a maximum of 4 years).

Eligibility: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in degrees such as B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, BBM, BCA, B.Sc. (Home Science), B.E., or B.Tech. For SC/ST/BC/Differently-abled candidates, the requirement is 40% marks. To be eligible for admission into the B.Ed. (ODL) program, candidates must be trained in-service teachers in elementary education and must have completed an NCTE-recognized regular teacher education program.

Age Limit: Candidates must have completed at least 21 years of age by July 1, 2026. There is no upper age limit.

Application Process: Through Online.

Examination Pattern:

The entrance exam will be conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode.

The question paper carries 100 marks: General English (25 marks), Telugu Proficiency (25 marks), and General Mental Ability (50 marks).

Application Fee: Rs.1,000; for SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates: Rs.750.
