Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released the notification for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2027 for admission into Class VI for the academic year 2027-28.

Admission to Class VI through Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2027

Eligibility

Candidates must:

Be a bonafide resident of the district where admission is sought.

Be studying Class V during the academic session 2026-27 in a Government, Government-aided, recognized school or eligible NIOS institution.

Have studied Classes III, IV and V continuously by spending one full academic session in each class.

Candidates who have already passed or repeated Class V are not eligible.

The candidate should apply only for the JNV of his/her district of residence.

Age: Applicants must be born between 01 May 2015 and 31 July 2017 (both dates inclusive). The age condition is applicable to all categories including SC, ST, OBC and Divyang candidates.

How to Apply: Applications must be submitted online only through the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti admission portal. Candidates should upload Passport-size photograph, Candidate's signature, Parent's signature, Aadhaar details or residence certificate, Required category certificates (if applicable) The application process is completely free of cost, and help desks are available at all JNVs for assistance.

Date of JNV Selection Test (JNVST): 28 November 2026

Expected Result: End of March 2027.
