UG and PG Admissions In National Sports University
The National Sports University (NSU), Imphal, Manipur (A Central University under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India) has released its official admission notice for various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2026-27. Admissions will be determined through the National Sports University Entrance Examination (NSUEE), along with offline, programme-specific assessments such as Physical Fitness Tests, Game Proficiency, and Viva Voce.

Bachelor of Science (Sports Coaching): 50 Seats
Master of Science (Sports Coaching): 20 Seats
Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (B.P.E.S): 50 Seats
Master of Physical Education and Sports (M.P.E.S): 30 Seats
Master of Science (Sports Psychology): 15 Seats
Master of Science (Applied Sports Nutrition): 15 Seats
Duration: UG courses - 3 or 4 years; PG courses - 2 years.
Departments: Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Sports Psychology, Sports Physiology & Nutrition.
Available Sports (Bachelor's & Master's in Sports Coaching): Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Fencing, Football, Shooting, Swimming, Weightlifting, Wushu.
Eligibility: To be eligible, undergraduate applicants (B.Sc. and B.P.E.S.) must have passed their 12th standard or an equivalent government-recognized examination. For the B.Sc. (Sports Coaching) course, candidates must also have a documented history of participation in recognized district, zonal, school, or national-level sports competitions in their chosen discipline. For postgraduate courses, applicants must hold a relevant undergraduate degree or diploma in a matching field (such as Physical Education, Sports Coaching, Psychology, or Nutrition/Food Sciences depending on the program). Generally, a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination is required for UR, OBC (NCL), EWS, and Kashmiri Migrant categories, while a relaxed minimum of 45% marks is set for SC/ST candidates.
Selection Process: Selection will be based on the National Sports University Entrance Examination (NSUEE), a Physical Fitness Test, Game Proficiency, and a Viva-voce.
