Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati, has invited online applications from eligible candidates for admission into its 2-year Diploma in Animal Husbandry program.

Two-year Diploma Course in Animal Husbandry Polytechnic (2026-27)

Number of Seats:

Constituent Polytechnics (Under SVVU): 330 seats (300 regular + 30 EWS seats; 30 seats per AHP).

Affiliated Polytechnics: 660 seats (600 regular + 60 EWS seats; 50 seats per AHP).

Total Seats: 990.

Course Duration: Two years.

Eligibility: Successful completion of the 10th grade.

Selection Process: Candidates must have successfully completed the 10th class (SSC) or an equivalent examination to be eligible for the course. Selection is based strictly on the aggregate marks or overall grade point average (GPA) obtained in the 10th standard.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 15 and 22 years of age as of 31-08-2026. This means candidates must have been born between 01-09-2004 and 31-08-2011.

Application Fee: Rs. 1000 for General and BC (Backward Classes) categories; Rs. 550 for SC (Scheduled Castes), ST (Scheduled Tribes), and Differently-abled candidates.
