The Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), Hyderabad, has released a notification for lateral entry admissions into various Diploma programs for the 2026-27 academic session.

Details:

1. Diploma in Tool, Die and Mould Making (DTDM): 09 Seats

2. Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (DECE): 06 Seats

3. Diploma in Automation and Robotics Engineering (DARE): 07 Seats

4. Diploma in Production Engineering (DPE): 08 Seats

Course Duration: The Diploma in Tool, Die and Mould Making course spans three years, while the other courses two years.

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed ITI in a relevant trade. Students currently appearing for their qualifying exams may also apply, provided they meet the eligibility requirements at the time of final admission. Selection is based on an Entrance Examination conducted by CITD, covering relevant trade subjects, aptitude, and general knowledge.

Age Limit: DTDM: Minimum 15 years and Maximum 19 years as of May 31, 2026.

DECE, DARE, & DPE: Maximum 19 years as of May 31, 2026.

Relaxation: A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided for SC/ST candidates.

Selection Process: Seats are allotted based on an entrance examination.

Entrance Exam Pattern: The examination will be objective-type. Questions will be drawn from the subjects relevant to the respective trade.

Application Fee: Rs. 1,000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates).

Exam Duration: 90 minutes.

Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 31-05-2026.
