Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) invites online applications for its annual scholarship scheme for the academic year 2025-26. This initiative aims to support meritorious students from SC, ST, OBC, and General categories pursuing professional courses.
Scholarship Overview:
Total Scholarships: 2,000 (SC/ST: 1000, OBC: 500, General: 500)
Reservation: 50% of scholarships are reserved for female candidates across all categories.
Scholarship Amount: Rs.48,000 per annum (Rs.4,000 per month).
Eligible Courses (1st Year Students Only):
Engineering (B.E/B.Tech): Based on Intermediate marks.
MBBS: Based on Intermediate marks.
MBA: Based on Graduation marks.
Masters in Geology/Geophysics: Based on Graduation marks.
Eligibility Criteria:
Academic: Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination (Intermediate for UG, Degree for PG).
Income Limit: General/OBC/EWS: Family income must not exceed Rs.2 Lakhs per annum.
SC/ST: Family income must not exceed Rs.4.5 Lakhs per annum.
Age: Maximum 30 years as of August 1, 2025.
Mode: Must be a full-time regular student.Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on 1st August 2025.
1. Merit-Based Ranking
The primary criterion for selection is the academic performance in the qualifying examination required for the respective course:
For Engineering & MBBS: The selection is based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Intermediate (10+2) examination.
For MBA & PG (Geology/Geophysics): The selection is based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Graduation (Degree).
