DRDO- DG(AERO) Paid Internship 2026-27
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released an advertisement for its Paid Internship Scheme 2026-27. The Director General (Aeronautical Systems) invites applications from final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students in Engineering and Science streams. The internship is offered across five premier laboratories under the Aeronautical Systems cluster: ADE, ADRDE, CABS, CEMILAC, and GTRE.

CEMILAC (Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification), Bangalore: 20 posts (includes 13 seats at Bangalore and 7 seats at outstation Regional Centres)
Eligibility:
Candidates must be final-year Undergraduate (UG) or Postgraduate (PG) engineering or science stream students who are Indian Nationals. A minimum academic score of 6.5 CGPA is mandatory. Applicants must submit their 6th-semester marksheet for UG or 2nd-semester marksheet for PG. If results are awaited at the time of application, the average marks of the 4th and 5th semesters (for UG) or the 1st semester result (for PG) will be evaluated. Students who have studied or are currently studying outside India are not eligible.
Stipend:
Selected interns will receive a total stipend of Rs. 30,000. This amount will be paid in two equal installments of Rs.15,000 (the first installment after 3 months and the final installment after completion of the 6-month duration).
Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be shortlisted by the respective DRDO laboratories based on the availability of vacancies and the academic/personal information provided in the application forms. The final selection of the intern, allotment of relevant labs, and the allocated topic/area of research (based on the guide and facilities available) will be communicated directly to the candidate via their registered email ID.
How to Apply:
Eligible candidates must download the application form and guidelines from the provided official link. The application form must be filled out completely according to the prescribed format and signed by both the student and their Head of Department (HOD)/Principal. The completed form, along with PDF copies of required documents (Resume, college permission letter, Aadhaar card, and semester marksheets), must be forwarded directly to the specific email ID of the respective laboratory applied for. Students wishing to apply to multiple labs must send separate applications to each respective lab email.
