MA/MSc and PhD Admissions at IIPS Mumbai
The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai- under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India- invites applications for admission to MA/M.Sc and Ph.D programs for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Details:
1. Master of Arts/Science (MA/M.Sc) in Population Studies: 35 seats (Fellowship)
Course Duration: Two years
2. Master of Science (M.Sc) in Biostatistics and Demography: 35 seats (Fellowship)
Course Duration: Two years
3. Master of Science (M.Sc) in Survey Research & Data Analytics: 40 seats (Fellowship)
Course Duration: Two years
4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Population Studies
Course Duration: Three years to a maximum of six years.
5. Part-time PhD Program in Population Studies: 02 seats.
Course Duration: Three years to a maximum of six years.
6. Post-Doctoral Fellowship (Ph.D) Course Duration: One year.
Eligibility: Must hold a Degree, M.Phil., UGC-NET, PG, or Ph.D. from a recognized university.
Course Duration: Ranges from one to six years.
Fellowship: per month for Ranges from Rs.5,000 to Rs.50,000 .
Application Fee: Rs.1,000 for General category; Rs.500 for OBC (NCL) and EWS categories; Rs.250 for SC/ST/PwD categories. (Note: The fee is Rs.1,000 for all categories for the Part-time Ph.D. program.)
Application Process: Online and Offline.
Selection Process: For PG courses (M.A./M.Sc.): Selection is based on the score obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET (PG) - 2026). Other candidates will be selected through an interview.
