The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) is conducted for admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2026-27. This programme is offered in selected Central and State Universities/Institutions, including prestigious bodies such as IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges.

The entrance test covers various components including:
Languages: Tested through Reading Comprehension, Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary.
Domain-Specific Subjects: Based on the Class 12 syllabus
General Test: Includes General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, and Logical/Analytical Reasoning.
Teaching Aptitude: Topics related to the teaching of Science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, and Languages.
Eligibility: Candidates must generally have passed or be appearing in the qualifying examination Class 12 or equivalent.
Application Fee: General Candidates Rs.1200; OBC/EWS Rs.1000; for SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/ Third Gender Rs.650.
Online Submission of Application Form: 12 February to 10 March 2026.
Last Date for Successful Fee Transaction: 11 March 2026.
Correction in Particulars: 12 March to 14 March 2026.
Exam Date: 07.04.2026.
