Rashtriya Military Schools Admission to Class VI and Class IX

Applications are invited for admission to Class VI (Boys & Girls) and Class IX (Boys & Girls) in Rashtriya Military Schools located at Chail (Himachal Pradesh), Ajmer (Rajasthan), Belgaum (Karnataka), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Dholpur (Rajasthan) for the Academic Session 2025-26.

Rashtriya Military Schools Common Entrance Test (CET) 2025-26

Eligibility:

Class VI: Candidate should have passed Class V from a govt/ recognized school before the date of admission. Students studying in Class V are also eligible to appear in the entrance test for Class VI.

Class IX: Candidate should have passed Class VIII from a govt/ recognized school before the date of admission. Students studying in Class VIII are also eligible to appear in the entrance test for Class IX.

Age: 

Class VI: Candidates (Boys & Girls) aged between 10-12 years as on 31 March 2025 (born between 01 April 2013 to 31 March 2015, both days inclusive) are eligible. 

Class IX: (Boys & Girls) aged between 13-15 years as on 31 March 2025 (born between 01 April 2010 to 31 March 2012, both days inclusive) are eligible. 

Reservation of Vacancies:

70% for wards of Army, Navy, and Air Force JCOs/OR (including ex-servicemen). 

30% for wards of Army, Navy, and Air Force officers (including retired officers) and wards of civilians

A total of 50 seats are earmarked for the Killed in Action category in all five RMSs at any point of time.

Entrance Examination: Multiple Choice OMR based Common Entrance Test (CET).

Subjects:

Class VI: Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English (Questions of Class V level).

Class IX: English, Hindi, Social Science, Mathematics and Science (Questions of Class VIII level).

Last date of submission of online application and payment of application fee: 19-09-2024.
