In a move to standardise timekeeping, the government has drafted comprehensive rules mandating the exclusive use of Indian Standard Time (IST) across all official and commercial platforms, with the Consumer Affairs Ministry seeking public feedback by February 14, 2025.
NITI Aayog released the “Fiscal Health Index (FHI) 2025” report in New Delhi on 24th January 2025. The report ranked States for 2022-23, covering 18 major states, based on five key sub-indices: Quality of Expenditure, Revenue Mobilisation, Fiscal Prudence, Debt Index, and Debt Sustainability, along with insights into state-specific challenges and areas for improvement.
