Bharats History through Murals in Parliament
♦ Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan released the book “Tides of Time: Bharat’s History through Murals in Parliament” authored by Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murty at Samvidhan Sadan.
♦ The book documents 124 mural panels in Parliament, tracing India’s history from the Indus Valley Civilization to the teachings of figures such as Maharishi Valmiki, Chanakya, Mahavira, and Gautama Buddha.
♦ It also covers key milestones including the reign of Emperor Ashoka, the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Bhakti movement, and iconic monuments like the Konark Sun Temple.
♦ Additionally, the book highlights India’s freedom struggle, featuring events such as the Dandi March and leaders including Mahatma Gandhi and Subhas Chandra Bose.
